How do you get organized?

It starts by identifying your goals. What do you want to accomplish? How do you want to use the space? What are the issues causing clutter, chaos or dysfunction?

Heather will work with you to determine the best use of the resources available: space, time and money. She will help you understand the steps, so you get organized and can maintain the space.

Buying the right bins, boxes or baskets won’t make you organized.

Finding the exact container to function well for your particular space, comes after you have sorted through your stuff and decided what to keep and where to keep it. Quite often the work of sorting and purging turns up enough bins and containers to keep the process going.

  • To truly organize a space you must completely finish the process.
  • Empty an entire space during the sorting and purging step.
  • Buy the appropriate containers (once that has been determined).
  • Install shelving or furniture (if needed).
  • Label, Label, Label!
  • Remove all the trash or donations.
  • Maintain the space.

Using her experience, resources, tips and tricks, Heather will create simple systems to meet your organizing needs and help you create a FUNctional Home.

At my first meeting with Heather, I felt reassured. She is as professional as can be. First task was my bedroom, then the kids room, now we are going to meet on how to organize the ALL of the paper that comes in to the house! Heather is an extremely hands on professional organizer and I was so amazed and overjoyed with what we accomplished during my first appointment. I have learned so much from Heather, she has so many (endless) ways of organizing and purging items that I did not need in my life anymore. I look forward to having her at my home in the future and I would recommend that you do too, Heather is GREAT!

Heather has done so much for me, reclaiming my spaces and helping me let go of things to make room for new/other things. Each time we get together I feel like a great friend came for a visit, gave me a work out and taught me a lot and left me in a better place. Thank you for all you do, now I enjoy my home and my hobbies again.
